I was waiting and waiting for this bird to take flight over Moody Mansion in Galveston. I was shooting Laura and Gena’s wedding, getting architectural details (it’s such a cool old house!) and I just had to be very patient. Sometimes that is a bit at odds with the incredible fast pace of the wedding day, but I do try to have as many zen moments as possible. I feel it produces more artful photos for the couple if I’m in a calm, observing headspace. So yes, this image belongs to Laura and Gena’s wedding coverage, but I also think it’s just a nice moment in life.

By the way, this is the official photo of the day for today, a very gray day in January. I always try to have something not related to career mongering, in this case in addition to the previous post about being on the Rock n Roll Bride blog. So, much thanks for looking and putting up with the official stuff!
