Red Plush, a book to read

Wednesday, July 14th, 2010

Beautiful old books in a house where I shot a wedding.  Along with “Red Plush”, there’s Plain Tales of the Hills, Four American Poets, Honours Divided and the Complete Canada (or is that Canasta?).

girl wearing a hat box and feathers

Monday, July 12th, 2010

Yes, I like the big bow under the chin and the striped hat box on her head.  Accented by feathers, long black gloves and that wistful, faraway look in her mannequin eyes.

I think it’s a rite of passage for little girls to wear lacy little anklets and Mary Janes.

a mesmerizing toilet

Friday, July 2nd, 2010

yes, that’s right.  a toilet.  I loved this toilet, surrounded by an all red, all glass mosaic tile room.  Seen at Kris and Claude’s house in Los Angeles.  Apparently the previous owners who created this bathroom have moved to Austin.  So howdy, I probably have rubbed shoulders with you at Jo’s on South Congress.

Gigantic tiddly winks and a bald lady

Wednesday, June 30th, 2010

Ah, uber-chic!  I love window shopping in San Francisco, there’s always something crazy going on, like this bald mannequin wearing an alpaca vest and she’s staring up at gigantic tiddly winks.  Very satisfying eye candy, even if I have no clue what it means.

A place with endless possibilities

I love the name of this lakeside building.  I know it’s for changing out of your wet swimsuit, but doesn’t it just make you think that you could go in there and come out a different person?
