cat versus computer

Cat versus computer and I’ll let you decide who won.  I love the look on his bewildered kitty face:  “can I get some help here?  huh?  can’t you see that I need petting?”

Housewarming in a Texas Victorian

Thursday, July 15th, 2010

My friends J & J bought a house way out in the Texas countryside.  It’s a beautiful old Victorian with many wonderful little details.  Fun to photograph and the housewarming was a smash too!

A vintage portrait using my old Brownie

Monday, June 28th, 2010

This portrait made me happy in so many ways.  I got to use my old Brownie.  I got to make a lovely black and white image.  And it’s of two of my favorite people on the planet, my friend Alina and her daughter Lucy.  Good stuff.

Goofing around in Ft Worth.

Tuesday, June 22nd, 2010

Alina Prax of La Dolce Vita Photography had reasons to go to Ft Worth awhile back and she talked me into going.  We had a blast.  We goofed around a lovely old gas station plus the Stock Show buildings to do some pix.  This is exactly the kind of thing we each do with our clients for engagement sessions, so it was cracking us up to do it just for us.  We heart Ft. Worth!

Happy Birthday to Yvette even though she’s far from Texas today

Saturday, June 12th, 2010

Happy Birthday to Yvette, shown here on her very first trip to Salt Lick BBQ and her first visit with us in Texas.  I know she’s wishing she were in this fair state today, but I’m sure she’s having a grand birthday at home with Fred.  We miss y’all!

An old friend in Beachwood Canyon

Monday, May 31st, 2010

Noah and I love to hike through Beachwood Canyon.  Nice to bump into an old friend, Mr. Puff Daddy.  He’s actually a stray that everyone looks after.  He has been there for a good ten years, managing not to be coyote food while still getting copious amounts of petting.

Kobe beef sliders at Wink Wine Bar in Austin

Saturday, May 8th, 2010

Wink Wine Bar in Austin has some creative gourmet appetizers.  I like the truffled Mac-n-cheese.  These brie Kobe beef burger sliders were also yum.

Another L.A. foodie find:  lunch with Kari Kochar at Daisy Mint in Pasadena.

It’s easy to please me, just hook me up with a cute place to eat, yummy food (with hot tea) and a great friend like Kari.  She does amazing wedding and kids photography…check out her website: KariKochar.com
