Quinn loves to play peek-a-boo and her dad Al Q is a champion peek-a-boo player.

Quinn also loves (LOVES) to eat clementines.  She ate 3 while we watched.  I think she would’ve had more, but we had some dancing to do and also playing with the homemade play-do that her mom Janet made.

Tully is a sweet black lab who lives in San Francisco with Alex and Erin.  She looks a little wary of that camera thing pointed at her, eh?

I like that this photo of food on an iPad is exactly where my plate would go on the dinner table.  The food did look yummy enough to eat, no doubt because it was made by my friend and fellow foodie, Meriko, who was in town for a visit.  We had a great time looking at food porn, drinking jasmine tea (me) and coffee for Mariko, made in the Chemex coffeemaker using Blue Bottle beans.

I was visiting Yvette and Fred and we got to talking about Fred’s spicy chocolate cookies.  Next thing you know, we were dispatched to the store to buy butter.  Here is the master at work.

Pollen Floral Art created some unique floral arrangements for the W Hotel here in Austin.  Pollen is owned by Brooke Howsley.  Not only is she supremely talented, today is her birthday.  Happy birthday to Brooke!

Look, it’s file cabinet heaven!  Friend and fellow photographer Mary Sledd called to ask me if I wanted to go to a surplus place.  Um, yes please.  Okay, so maybe it’s not exactly “fun”, but I do like it.  Especially the drawer labeled “Scoopulas”.

Here is Lucy’s list for Santa.  I’m not sure if Santa brought her all of these things, but I think it’s pretty inclusive.  There’s a lot of bathtub stuff, but then there’s musical instruments too.

Alex came to Hollywood to visit me, a long time ago and I knew exactly one place we had to go:  Alex Donut.  That little drawing of a donut on their sign got me every time I drove by.
