I stayed at the Palmer House Hilton Hotel in Chicago awhile back.  I was shooting a wedding and wanted to swing by the Art Institute while I was in town.  The hotel was a block away, very convenient.  Plus, I love a restored old hotel with fun details.

One of the benefits of staying on Trudianne and Billy’s farm is eating well, especially those fresh eggs.  Super fresh.  We went out and gathered up eggs that had just been laid!  I was fascinated to see the difference in yolks between a store bought egg and a freshly laid egg.  Trudianne has a sweet dog named Seumas, who supervised us in our egg gathering, then needed to rest after all the excitement.

Trudianne and Billy also took me site seeing.  Well, more like “food-seeing”.  Don’t even get me started about the wonders of cinnamon bacon.  We made a pilgrimage to Portillo’s, a legendary Chicago hot dog place. While eating the famous (and soggy) Chicago Italian Beef sandwich, I witnessed their first married scuffle, as Trudianne tried to bogart Billy’s french fries.  And yeah, those fries were good (I may have snuck a few myself).

Look at all those leggy legs in Las Vegas.  Maybe I was imagining it, but I think they actually created a breeze with all that determined sashaying.
