People told me I would get jaded from photographing weddings, but after ten years, I still love it.  Even better, I was able to both attend and document an intimate civil ceremony for my friends Mike and Sonia.  It gave me such a good feeling to see them say their vows among good friends in a simple setting.  It was a wedding at its purest!

After the ceremony, we all headed over to Perry’s for Porkchop Friday.  As an extra treat, the bank vault was available!  We drank dirty martinis, ate iceberg wedges, oysters, carpaccio and of course, giant porkchops.

Mike and Sonia are having one more celebration tonight.  The invite says “All white dress is requested”.  Sounds fantastic.  I’ll be there with my camera..

I don’t know much about San Antonio, but had a great time checking it for Lauren and Paul’s engagement shoot.  Lauren is a native of San Antonio and Paul has joined her in this fair city.  We got along famously and I’ve been looking forward to their wedding ever since.  Yep, you guessed it…today is the big day.  They’ve got a great party in the works.  Can’t wait!

Elizabeth Anne Designs is a showcase of impeccably styled weddings and we’re jazzed that they recently featured Erin and Abe’s French-inspired wedding at Laguna Gloria and the Driskill Hotel.  The color scheme was indigo blue and daffodil yellow.  BZ Events was the event producer with a team including Primizie Catering, Petal Pushers, Stardust Pastry, Ilios, Marquee Rentals, Rachel Titsworth, Wendee Sawran and The Nash-Hernandez Orchestra.

Erin and Abe are foodies, so the food was amazing, plus they had custom napkins that said “Magnifique” and “Belle Soiree”, which just tickled me!  But my favorite photo is the one of Erin and her dad during their first dance.

Always a pleasure to have our clients’ weddings on Style Me Pretty.  It’s the ultimate flattery and this wedding deserves it.  Kim, the bride, wanted an Anthropologie feel to her wedding and there were many great details that fulfilled her vision.

Today is Friday and since Kim and Dave’s wedding was on a Friday,I asked Kim to do the international symbol for “working for the weekend”.  Happy Friday everyone!

We’re so pleased to be on Modernly Wed with a wedding that was at the Clift Hotel and the Swedenborgian Church in San Francisco.  Jen and Jon had a modernly elegant and FUN wedding.  After a serene ceremony, there was much dancing and toasting, including an after party with Manhattans at the Redwood Room.

Happy One Year Anniversary to Adriane and Jay, who got married on the lush back lawn at the Four Seasons in Austin.  After a moving ceremony, during which Jay dedicated a song to Adriane, the party moved indoors.  There was a Longhorns groom cake and fancy cowboy boots to match.  Sauce the band got everyone showing off their best moves, including Jay and his groomsmen.
