Elevated Squash

We just found a delicious recipe for Sausage Fat Roasted Squash and made it for dinner last night.  The recipe was created by Francis Lam, the food editor at Salon.com.

Coincidentally, earlier that same day I had exclaimed to Noah that I had just read an article (in Gourmet Magazine, Oct 2007) so well written, with such perception and style, that I wanted to tear it out and keep it just for the writing.  And who should it be, but Francis Lam!  He was not on my radar until today but he managed to perch himself in my brain.  I’m craving more of his writing and more of the fat roasted squash….
