simple winter breakfast

When I say simple winter breakfast, y’all were probably thinking of a bowl of oatmeal, with a little brown sugar sprinkled on top? Gotcha!  We’re channeling the tropics here with some smoked Applewood bacon and organic ruby red grapefruit, all on a vintage Melmac saucer.  I’m telling you, organic grapefruit tastes waaaaay better than the regular kind.

Oh and yeah, this is an iPhone capture.  I was too hungry to haul out the real camera.

    No sir, not the famous cinnamon bacon. I’ve been mulling over how I could make that here in Texas. If that’s allowed…do you, as a bacon ambassador of Illinois, give me permission to make cinnamon bacon?
