the chutney party

Welcome to a new December tradition:  the chutney party!

We had eight jars of McQuade’s Chutney, created by an amazing Scottish woman, Alison McQuade, that we met in San Francisco.  Plum and black pepper, persimmon, mandarin and apricot, fig & ginger (my favorite!), habanero (also very yummy)…those are just some of the flavors.

Then we got a bunch of take-out from Tarka Indian Kitchen.  Alina made Manhattans and everyone assembled together to sample the chutneys and enjoy lively conversation.  I think there was even some dancing at one point.  Total success.  We plan to do a foodie exploration every December on the eve of Christmas Eve.
