One year ago today, I was photographing Mark, the groom climbing the stairs.  The fact that he agreed to climb the stairs amazed me.  Then I had to huff and puff up the stairs after him.  From Stephanie and Mark’s Ladybird Johnson Wildflower Center wedding.

Winning wool at the Western Idaho State Fair.  It was all so soft and silky.  Um, I mean, wooly!

Here’s what to order at one of my favorite places to eat in Austin, the upscale BBQ joint, Lambert’s.

Go during Happy Hour.

Go upstairs.

Order a Cucumber Gimlet.  See if you can get them to make you a Flor Mirada (which they took off the menu and now I have to beg and plead for one).

Order the Boars Ribs as an appetizer.  They used to stack them up like Jenga.

Have the Iceberg Wedge.  Funny thing to order at a BBQ joint, but they do it right.  Remember, there is no nutritional value to this salad, but it sure is tasty.

Finish off with some brisket or the ribs.  Be sure to use the House Hot Sauce.

If you have room, order the Sweet Cream ice cream.  They make it themselves. 

Go home and wash your clothes, unless you like smelling like a BBQ joint.

I spied a little red shed while driving in Idaho.  I like that it says “No Trespassing” and underneath, a friendly “Hi”, probably written by some cheerful trespassers.

Another thing to covet, a crazy squares quilt.  A cool companion piece to the circles pillow.  This one was at the Idaho State Fair, but reminds me of the couture quilts from Denyse Schmidt.
