My dad was from Montreal, so poutine holds a special place in my heart.  Plus, it’s really yummy.  And completely bad for you.  It’s made of hand cut french fries, cheddar cheese curds and a special gravy.  All washed down with a Pepsi, of course!

This was at an off-the-beaten path food truck, way back in 2000, before food trucks were all the rage.  This was somewhere in the summer countryside of Quebec, July 2000.

And when we went to Florida in January, we saw this reassuring sign:

Rain Lily here in Austin is a working farm, right over on the east side!  We did Olivia and Isham’s engagement session there because it’s a special place for them.  In fact, they got married there yesterday.  Congrats!

Proving that any wedding in Charleston is going to be full of prettiness, here’s another look at Alaina and Ryan’s Legare-Waring House wedding, exactly one year ago today.  Yellow bowties, cotton flowers, gourmet Southern comfort food and supremely joyful people.

One year ago today, I was in Charleston doing a cheerful engagement session in what has to be one of the prettiest cities, ever!  Alaina and Ryan were getting married the next day, so I talked them into roaming around and getting in some “practice” posing for the next day.  We ended up just laughing and having a good time.
