Laguna Gloria white wedding with touches of willow browns.

Laguna Gloria was the setting for a pretty white wedding with touches of willow browns.  The bride and groom, Ashley and Ryan, are high school sweethearts and have been together for 13 years.  It was a happy moment for them to finally get married.  They are in sync and obviously totally in love too.  I think that’s why their wedding went so well.  They knew what they wanted:  an elegant, timeless event.

The white on white theme was perfect for that. Then they added a little contemporary flair with the willow lights and hardwood chargers.  And one more great ingredient for this classy, laidback event was a live jazz trio with a lovely 92-year-old vocalist, Donna Hightower.  Great dancing music.  In fact, not only did Ashley and Ryan have a first dance, they also had a last dance, all to themselves while everyone assembled outside for the send-off with bubbles.  The last dance was a nice touch, just them enjoying each other.  I wish more people would do this!

Special thank you to Alina Prax of La Dolce Vita Photography for shooting with me.  The wide shot of the cake, looking through the doorways?  That’s hers.  Great atmospheric shot.  Talk about talent!
