Laura and Gena’s engagement session in Austin was a good time. We would walk five steps and see a cool spot to shoot. Then another and another. Turns out we are all into:

a) food

b) funny road signs

c) colorful buildings with texture and decay.

Plus, Laura and Gena assured me that they are fellow dorks and from then on we enjoyed our mutual goofiness.

Speaking of goofiness, the dog in the window barked for the entire time that we were shooting next door to his house, so we took a portrait with him too. It was weird, his barking was pretty ferocious while there we were making some sweet, serene photos.

I should also mention that beyond goofiness, Laura and Gena have great style. Their wedding (which just happened, photos coming soon!) was a visual treat with lots of birds. We took the bird photo on their engagement shoot as a way to honor their wedding vision.
