Los Angeles engagement portraits

Brooklyn Bride is featuring a Los Angeles engagement session that we did for Kathy and Jamey.

Lucha-Libre-Wedding

Kathy and Jamey live in Los Angeles, so we made it our mission to document them at many of their favorite landmarks including Union Station, Griffith Park Observatory, the famous mural on Sunset Boulevard from Elliott Smith’s Figure 8 album cover, Malo with its amazing deep fried taco with pickles. I loved that they wanted to honor the good old days of getting dressed up but that they also can hang in dive bars. I especially loved that they wanted the Lucha Libre guy in their portrait.

LOVE. OMG, you must have loved doing so many off-the-beaten track things. Love the Luchador, love the two of them w/LA in the background, love the blurry laughing dance. Supercool.

They are a great couple and chose so many classic LA locations…I was working, but it didn’t feel like work. Always the best feeling!

Suzi- these are great! Super love. Makes me want to do engagement sessions again and be in LA and have a margarita!

This is how engagement sessions are supposed to be! I bet you are reminiscing about all the great LA stuff you miss!
