The Clift Hotel and the Swedenborgian Church in San Francisco, what a great combo for Jen and Jonathan’s wedding.
Both locations are uniquely San Francisco and unique to each other. The Clift is swanky, modern with westward views of the city.
The Swedenborgian is of another time. The interior eaves are real tree trunks, the service is lit by candlelight and a big fire in the fireplace and there’s always an organist. Not only is this church a true gem, it is extra special for Jen, since her parents married there themselves in 1969.
After the ceremony, there was the funnest (and bumpiest) cable car ride (well, it’s actually a bus of sorts) to The Spanish Suite at The Clift. Asia de Cuba got the cocktail party going with exquisite hors d’oeuvres and drinks. After some very very very amusing, boisterous toasts and dancing, everyone sat in the big chair in the lobby, and then went to the super-hip, super-jammed Redwood Room for the after party.
Special thanks to Alina from La Dolce Vita Photography for accompanying me to San Francisco, putting up with my quest for the best espresso ever and as always, taking magnificent images.
