Hi, I'm Suzi Q. I'm also called "Q" or "Qster", so it made sense to name my company Q Weddings way back in 1999.

Here's some unofficial information: I'm thrilled to be married to my sweetie of seventeen years, Noah. I'm a foodie, a very bad hockey player and The Cactus Lady. I can remember my seventh grade locker combination (17-31-41), but I can't sing on key. That doesn't stop me from belting out tunes, much to the chagrin of Noah (secretly he likes it).

More than anything, I love to make photos. I even make photos in my dreams when I'm sleeping. Someday I will find a way to translate those images to real life. For now, I enjoy blogging my "photo of the day". Yep, a brand new photo, every day of the year. Check out the Q blog (the link is up above).

I live right in the middle of the US in the great town of Austin, Texas. It's a fantastic place to live, It's hard to leave, yet I've become a bit of a traveling wedding photographer. I'm like a traveling salesman, only instead of lugging a complete set of encyclopedias I bring my camera rig and cowboy boots. I would gladly shoot a wedding in France, especially since I speak French fluently. And yes, I'd definitely bring my cowboy boots to France! Chouette!

I've shot weddings in Comfort, Texas and Uncertain, Texas. I've also shot weddings in Maine, Mexico, Hawaii, Chicago, Boulder, the British Virgin Islands, Brooklyn, San Diego, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Mendocino, Washington, Michigan, New Jersey, Jackson Hole, Mississippi, Fredericksburg and even my home state of Idaho.

People fly me in for their weddings because I still shoot that beautiful stuff called film. I use amazing professional film cameras and an eclectic selection of vintage and toy cameras. I know Photoshop inside and out, but I don't go for cheesy effects. I prefer to make genuine images right there on the spot, in camera, that capture a slice of life. I strive to make every image a piece of art. I guess I set high standards for myself. And you get the benefits!
